13-2bHave you used terms that are appropriate to user characteristics?• Technical terms should be avoided as much as possible when providing a textual explanation. If you can’t avoid using technical terms, it is best to include an explanation about the terms in consideration of diverse readers. As an example, an interface may be implemented with a technology that transforms specific terms in sentences into terms appropriate to the level of the users in natural language processing.
• The use of technical terms, however, would be best if the users are healthcare professionals and the terms are at a level that experts can understand. This can help reduce the risks of even slightly altering the diagnosis due to changes in terms. The accurate scientific name should be written in the original language to avoid problems arising from the translation of certain terms.
