• As the application of AI continues to expand, users have larger expectations for service functions than what the service actually offers. Thus, it is crucial to alter users’ expectations of services and prevent the misuse and abuse of AI technology by providing explanations about the service goal, scope, restrictions, and disclaimer.
• There is especially a high chance of users initially having false expectations for services that provide a diagnosis to patients remotely rather than in-person. Hence, service providers must properly set user expectations for the service by explaining the purpose and intention of offering the service, the scope of the service, and related limitations.
• Service providers must encourage proper service use by including the impact of results generated by the AI in the explanations and providing whether the results can be reversed when needed.
