11-1Have you made an effort to remove bias due to source code and user interface?Determine applicability: Consider this question if the implementation method and user interface are essential in AI system implementation, and determine if the requirement has been satisfied.
• AI systems in the public sector are available to a diverse group of users and hence must be cautious of biases via user interfaces that implicitly lead to a specific choice.
• It is ideal to check the interface and interactions of the AI system in advance for presentation bias or ranking bias in terms of the user’s comprehension, favorability, and reliability to design a system that can prevent bias.
• In addition, codes written by the AI must be reviewed regularly to check if a particular class access was omitted in the code implementation process and if the developer’s prejudice was reflected in the codes. One of the ways to output results is filtering the AI’s inference in the system instead of displaying it directly to the user.
