02-3Is the AI governance being supervised to ensure proper implementation?Determine applicability: Consider this question if guidelines and policies on AI governance have been prepared according to "02-1," and determine if the requirement has been satisfied.
• Entities operating an AI governance system must be responsible for the operational outcome, and this responsibility cannot be transferred. Therefore, the AI governance manager must oversee the group’s compliance with internal guidelines and policies.
• AI governance system in “ISO/IEC 38507:2022 — Information technology — Governance of IT — Governance implications of the use of artificial intelligence by organizations” mentions the duty of performing oversight on the design and use of AI systems according to the risks that may occur from such systems. In other words, there must be an oversight on whether the group appropriately executes internal policies established through the AI governance system.
