04-2Is data provenance documented and managed?Determine applicability: Consider this question according to whether you will build a dataset or use an open-source dataset for the development of an AI algorithm or model in the public sector, and determine if the requirement has been satisfied.
• Diverse problems related to trustworthy AI may arise from the quality of datasets used in AI in the public sector. Hence, you must manage the provenance of data, time of collection, and versions of datasets in order to identify the cause of such problems and take action.
• AI services used in public institutions use not only data they have collected but also data provided by other institutions, and such open data and must be managed in accordance with the Guidelines on Open Data Management (Ministry of the Interior and Safety Announcement No. 2021-70, Oct. 26, 2021).
