10-2aHave you prepared a document that describes the details of the system development process and model operation method?• Enhancing the transparency of an AI system and providing information for users to be able to identify the components of AI-based software are crucial factors in increasing the trustworthiness of systems. To achieve this, you may provide information that helps users identify the components of an AI system if you have prepared detailed documents that include the model’s specification during the development process of the AI model.
• Since AI services used by the public or multiple users require a more ethical perspective and sensitive response to users’ demands, ensure maintenance and management of detailed information, including the operation method of an AI model. The following are cases requiring model specification documents depending on the service.ü AI interview system: May be requested to disclose the information if the same AI system of companies A and B produces different interview outcomes
ü Recidivism prediction system: Management of records in advance that confirm and verify the service in reflection of cases assessed to have higher recidivism predictability for non-white in the COMPAS system
• When preparing the model specification, include relevant information to allow each stakeholder to choose and view the information they need, especially in consideration of stakeholders related to the life cycle of the AI. The below table lists examples of information required in model specifications according to stakeholders. The specification of IBM’s audio classification model that can be applied in the public sector is also outlined in the reference section.
